These flannel baby blankets measures approximately 42" X 42". These handmade single-layer soft receiving blankets are large enough for good coverage for a nursing cover-up.
The edges are embroidered with a heart design for durability and for an accent color. This decorations really sets them apart from any others.
I make them with one layer because I found that mothers prefer one layer and definitely prefer a square shape. They are so much easier to wrap babies in and will be large enough as the baby grows. You'll be able to use them a lot longer than one that is 36 inches by 40 inches.
Having been a mother of 8, grandmother of 28, and a daycare giver of hundreds I can definitely say that I overwhelmingly prefer a larger size receiving blanket that is also square, just like this one.
They are washed and pre-shrunk and are machine washable and dryable on normal settings.
